How do u Come of a small window?

I just went inside to get the loot but I can't get out. I've been trying to use that hold crouch but I can't seem to pass through. Any other techniques? :o

First: Where are you? What mission, what building, what window?

Second: Always tell us what version of the game, what mission, and as clearly as you can where you are and what you did, and what the problem is.

Thief 2-Life of Party-(Rooftops) Inside a building with small windows right next to the four guards cursing and killing each other. Just went in to get a loot but can't come out. Been trying to crouch a lot of times but not working :o . How come I couldn't come out but was able to get in?

That is a tough one. You can go out the window to the tower by the guards, or the one to the street.

This is your first real test of hand/eye co-ordination.

Stand up. RUN at the window jump to get on the ledge (windowseat) in front of the opening. WHEN YOU JUMP AND ARE IN THE AIR HIT CROUCH and quickly let go of the JUMP/CROUCH keys.

It may take a time or two, but that pair of windows are the hardest to get through in the whole game.

For most small windows a LEAN step through works but this pair is really difficult the first time you try them.

The above Jump/crouch in the air method also works other places, but practice on the timing is the key.

Funny... I don't remember any need for that move. Is there not a table you can jump onto, crouch, and simply duck walk out? If not, then my usual approach to this kind of thing is to jump at the window and stick on the sill. Then crouch, lean forward, and go out. There is a good chance I am wrong and tBm is right. :) He knows these missions like the back of his hand.

There's no need for this move to solve the mission. I just saw a loot inside and so went in to get it. I am just asking for future reference just in case I happen to put myself in the same situation again in other missions. Just want to know the right technique if there's any. Did finish this mission even without doing this thing. Thanks a lot:)

Just for future refrence. If you ever think that "going in" might cause a problem with "going out" ....look for a crate or two to toss "inside" That way you can position a crate(s), hop on it and then crouch and walk out.

I actually toyed with the idea of making an obstacle course mission forcing the player to use every movement trick in the book in order to complete it! I still might do it. It would actually be easy to build.

That's a good idea SlyFoxx! I might try that the next time I encounter this situation. You see there must be a way in this otherwise, they won't put any loot in there without the chance to take it out. Most especially here some master thieves just play a previously played mission just to find out if they could take all the loot out and improve their stats the second time around. i use potted plants to stand on ;)
there is a way to jump through the window its just a pain in the arse.
