After I defeated Kain and got the Heart of Darkenss and returned to the mansion, I do not have the heart. After returning to the crypt nothing happends. After repeatedly searching and researching the mansion i cound not find anything to do with proceding in the game. Is there something you have to do special to revive Janos? or is it a glitch in the game? Please e-mail me if u can help me out with my problem.

Please help me

I heard that it's a glitch. Check your inventory, it should be there. If not, then hopefully you keep multiple save files. Are you using a console, or PC?

i also heard its a glitch, that happens when you save and exit your game after avernus cathedral and before you return the HOD to janos. to my knowledge, the only way to fix this is to return to a save before that point or restart your game. which really isnt a fix at all, come to think of it. sorry.

I'd say if you have way to restart that little bit of the game, just move on and hope.

I neevr checked my inventory, ever.. perhaps it selffixes when you reach that point of the story?

I'd say you're PWN3D!
Seriously, that's a fatal bug in the game. Sorry, you'll have to restart from your previous savegame.

just saying I never check my inventory.
also saying that perhaps since you get back to janos they coded a failsafe in that, since you can't be there without heart, you have it anywayz.

Don't know, I'd say worth the gamble, if you lack the saves anywayz.

Can you go back to avernus? Its a longshot but somehow the glitch might fix itself if you go back to the place you're originally supposed to get the heart.. I dunno, its worth a try if your only other option is starting the game from the beginning... man, and just when the plot was beginning to thicken dramatically.. sorry man :(

Is anversus the place where u fought Kain? Well if it is or isnt i cannot leave the mansion, I really havent played much recently since I was playing off a rental when I got this far and could not find the heart; i had to return the game and have recently bought the game and decided to get to the bottom of this glitch so i do not remember much of the details about this game only the basic plot, so i am not 100% sure if i can leave but im am quite sure that there is no where to go execpt like i said in circles around the house. And it is also ovious the plot was about to "thicken" since you kill Kain, i think thats a prity big give away something big is about to happen.

I am experiencing the same problem (xbox). I'm standing over Janos. Nothing happens. My inventory is empty. I can not get back to Avernus. I can't exit the mansion. I want to throw my console out the window. I did make multiple saves, but the last time I did was chapter 7 (this is chapter 12). I'm not playing those five chapters again, but I am SEVERELY disappointed about this. How can they allow a glitch at a failsafe point? AAARGGGH!!!!!

Just restart from a recent savepoint, before you fought Kain. And even if you didn't save, just start over. It's not a long game.
