View Full Version : why does install stop at 23% on Windows Xp ?

Hi, I'm trying to do a Maximum install on my Windows Xp Pro machine and on the first of four CDs the installation freezes at 23%. Anyone have an idea what the cause of this might be or is there a way to do this install manually?

BTW, standard install also freezes at 65% !

Install fine, for me....
Guess you can try installing it in Safe Mode. But it's probably the disk. Probably scratched.
