need title help

alright, when i was a kid my grandfather had this movie that i would watch every time i saw him. problem is that at the time i was a kid and didnt follow it too closely. for this reason i remember very little of it. when he died a few years a go it vanished and noone can find it. the opening scene is also the cover and i think that its been ripped off a few times. the title is hard to read but its at the top, i think the font may imitate thorns. i remember reading it once or twice but cant remember what it was. i remember clearly forcing myself to read it and it sounded familiar. but thats all i remmeber of the title. i watched it so many times that the last tiem i saw it was tired of it and couldnt sit through it completely. i remember the scene i turned it off at, there was this girl sitting curled up in a window seat of a house. may or may not be on a farm. anyway, the cover of the movie shows these robed guys outside with glowing red eyes with executioners masks. there all walking to the left and the ground is black, the sky may be purple. the opening scene is the same excpe tthe sky is red i believe, and there eyes arent red. there leading this guy who may not have on a shirt to a tree where they hang him and maybe walk offscreen and then an arrow flies into the body and the screen goes black and you hear it hit. while there walking i think the credits roll. its kind of a slow movie and i think it came out in the early to mid nineties or late eighties. anway, keep in mind these details may be not be exact, and some may be pretty far off. but im pretty sure of the cover and the opening scene(excpet for the arrow part, im not too sure about that).

You have to remember, that forum is one of the biggest I've seen and the replies are pretty quick - so you may want to bookmark your thread as it may get shoved to the bottom quicker than you can refresh!

there may have been a black and white shower scene like the one in psycho.

I asked them about an American/Austrailian soap, shown on BBC2 of a weekend and half-terms. It was about a school, and they hung around a bar. There was a mechanic with one of those "cool sounding" names.

Turned out to be Heartbreak High and the "cool" name was Draz...

That was all I posted about it, seriously. Some person got it within 5 mins of me posting it...
