View Full Version : Current TFTs - quality of interpolation?
Conundrum

Hello,
I consider buying a 17"-TFT, which has a "native" (read: best) resolution of 1280 X 1024. Are there taffers around who play the Thief series on a 17" TFT, but on 1024 x 768 without experiencing any major quality loss?
Thank you in advance!
Quite a few of us, judging by the number of posts in forums and newsgroups. I've got an LG Flatron 17" 16ms which is better than the CRT it replaced. There are many faster ones available now.

Thanks for the quick reply, ffox!
Still, can you tell me whether you play on 1024 x 768? Because this would be below that "native" resolution of a 17" TFT and is reported to cause a loss in graphics quality.

CRT's are generally better when playing games because you get a higher refresh rate. :)
I do everything on 1024 x 768 - my eyesight isn't so sharp these days!
