HELP! No Opening Movie/CutScene?!?!

When I start a new game on my PC, there is no opening movie or cutscene, all I have is Lara standing in a alley talking about how its safe here but she needs to find a way out.......

Am I missing something?!?!?!?!

:eek: I'm having the EXACT same problem!! I couldn't play AOD until I got a new computer and now that I have one, there's glitches in the game!

NONE of the opening cutscenes work - when I start the game, the screen goes straight to the main menu and when I start the level, the screen goes straight into the game without any intro or anything! I only know of the cutscenes' existence out of curiosity and messing about the AOD folder.

Not only that, I've got some strange glitches like that Pierre guy having half his body and face missing except for an eyeball and Lara's eyeballs showing in full in the cutscene before she goes to Margot Carvier's.

I also couldn't install that EAX thing for some reason. I wonder if that's the cause of all this?

Can anyone help me out here?! :confused:

Download the v42 patch (the middle link) and it should solve the cutscene problem! Well, it did for me anyways. :D

It looks the same but it is not the same! The "..." represents 71 characters you don't see.
