If I met Toby Gard I would probably cry for him and for me.

I first heard of and saw the interview of Toby Gard when I bought Lara Croft - Lethal and Loaded (2001) on DVD in September of 2001. I felt very emotional about how Lara Croft was his original concept but that he had left Core Design before the release of the game took off and because of that he received no royalties. I felt that was totally wrong but he sounded like he had no regrets of leaving since the game seemed to be out of his hands even before he left the company.

So hearing about him being involved in Tomb Raider Legend is just FANTASTIC! He has now come full circle and it sounds like it is on his own terms not just the company's. It's great to know that good people who deserve great things sometimes get what they deserve.

I'd ask him to give me a demo (or full game even!) of the new game or he will be Lara-nited :p Nah, I'd probably ask him to give me a VIP pass to the CrystalD part of Eidos where they are making the new game. (And of course, for him to pay my fees to the US!) Or if he could teach me how to make games. I could be the apprentice and him the mentor. It's a Von Croy-Lara situation :D Wait... then he'd be killed by some Eckhardt-like man and I'd have to go on some adventuring... sounds like fun! LOL!
