It seems that Kain's soul was residing in his lieutenants instead of him, so he didn't devolve. Another explanation may be that he "was twisted enough," as in, he had already evolved to his final state.

Kain was Ariel's replacement. She was the replacement for the balance guardian that Vorador killed.

Collectively, yes. It's the same people.

Ariel would have given Kain a touching eulegy. My guess is that the next generation wouldn't have known what to do because there was no one to find them and tell them who they were or what to do about it.

About Raziel's brothers and their souls. Their souls would have returned to Wheel of Fate and they can be born again as humans. EG actually lied about freedom because Spectral Realm is actually a prison for souls until they get absorbed by someone like Raziel and get a new life. Ever heared of recycling things?

Yeah, Raziel gets energy from souls and so does the Elder God, but soul are not destroyed they get a new body with new memories since they forget all the old ones as we can see in Raziel's (he completely forgot that he was a sarafan knight) case.

In the asked order... (MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT!)

1.) In the intro movie Raziel states that over time vampires evolve. Since 1000 or so years passed, his brethern evolved while he was dead. We presume Kain being the father of Vampires (or atleast my theory) Kain evolves MUCH differently than all of his children

2.) When the unamed Mind, Dimention, States, Balance, Nature and Energy Guardians are killed by Vorador, the pillars searched out the birthing Nupraptor, Azimuth, Anarcrothe, Ariel, Bane and Dejoule. When Mortanious (while controlled by the Serafan Lord in BO2) kills Ariel, the Ballance pillar sought out the birthing Kain to take her place.

3.) From what LOKFanatics Blood Omen to Defiacne Plot Guide said (please don't sue the pants off me, I like these pants!)

4.) Yes the Guardians of the Pillars are the same as the Circle of Nine.

5.) Pillars keep Nosgoth in order and prevent the Hylden from coming back. Kain to more or less extent would **** the world seeing that although Nosgoth goes back to its possible former beauty he garantees that the Hylden return along with Elder God and Moebious ruling the world. He would also make Mortanious's redemption meaningless as at the end of Defiance and BO he tries to redeem himself for causing the crucades. I personally believe Moebious hide 99% of everything from Mortanious despite being friends. I seriously doubt that if Mortaniouis knew about the Hylden (prior to being a host to the Serafan Lord) he would never had caused the overthrow of the vampiric guardians

6.) King Ottmar rules over the land of Wilendorf. A land that Kain is very familiar with I presume. He's in grief over his daughters loss of the ability to live due to Elizivir(SP?) the Doll Maker, Kain becauses more of hero by decapitating the Doll Maker and restoring the Princess back just to become a general in the Army of Hope's defense against the Army of the Nemesis.

7.) Elder God is PO'ed because he can't have Kain's soul since he's a vampire, and that fact he's the Scion of Balance who's pre-destined to redeem Nosgoth. If my brothers tossed my arse in a endless swirling whirl pool that destroyed my former beauty to become the demonic ghoul that Raziel was, I'd be more than ready to kick some brotherly arse, and since the best way to kill a vampire and feed the Wheel of Fate (although EG might be lieing about it) is to devourer the soul to keep his damn wheel turning. Vengence is a dish best severed at antartic temperatures.

8.) Because Moebious made sure Kain and King Willaim the Just were both equipped with the Soul Reaver, Kain was able to change time by murdering the boy king (even though he's VA'd by Tony Jay, it was probably a lack of options and time to find a younger person to do Bill's voice so they had the Jay-master do his voice, at least that's thats BS I've built up in my head) and since he was the most beneficial, caring and loved king and since Kain was a vampire that was most cruel to humans, Moebious easily persuaded peasents into joing his crucade in killing the vampires. When Kain returned to his "home" he found that over the course of the 50 years since he killed Bill, he was the last Vampire left alive.

9.) Like me, he more than likely refusses to believe that everything is determined before we even come to exsistance. It's pretty shocking to find out that everything you've done (like Kain and Raziel) was purposely set up for this to happen.

Each vampire evolved differently than the rest. Raziel was destined to become something like the ancients (Janos Audron's species of Vampire), Kain was a necromancy vampire and he evolved with scales and stayed human like. Melchiah has the least portion of Kain's unholy gift (Gift means he gave a part of his soul into his children/Lt.'s which are the Serafan Priests/Warriors) so he couldn't hold on his decaying flesh that he was resurrected from, but since Kain breathed the most into Raziel, him and his decendants would probably turn into malformed Human-Bat creatures. Zyphon's are Spider like, Rahab's are amphibious but are Uber weak to sunlight (look how cloudy it is!), Dumah's look like they became metalic, Turel's had the most human like features but also had those Rabbit or Bat like ears, himself remains human like, but just now a quadrapedal and not bipedal anymore. THe less of Kain's soul a vampire recieves, the less human like it remains.

Ariel is stuck in eternal limbo as long as Kain DOESN'T make the sacrafice (and I'd refuse the sacrafice myself if put in his situation, vampires ARE Dark Gods) however we learn that since Kain's the Scion of Balance, Ariel's has a bigger role than she probably even expected herself. If she had gone to Heaven or w/e they believe, Raziel might not have been able to purify the Wraith Blade and heal Kain's Curruption to forget the ultimate weapon for the Scion of Balance. Her prescence was needed to create one of Kain's most powerful weapons (The Purified Soul Reaver and Hope).

When Nupraptor found his lover's mutilated body, from despair he sunk into madness and being both the Mind Guardian and being sybiotically linked to everyone else (including the birthing Kain) they went mad, and each pillar represents their mental state. Kain as a fledling vampire had to kill and reclaim a binding item of each GUardian to fix the damage done. Each of the items are as follows

Mind: Head/Brain (Alas poor Nupraptor I knew him well...Well not really)
Dimiention: An eye (Azimuth's 3rd Eye)
Conflict: Helmet (Malek's Helmet)
Nature: Headress (Bane's Headress)
Energy: Cloak (Dejoule's Magickal Cloak, yes Magickal in this instance should be spelled with a K)
Time: Hourglass (Moebiouises HOurglass)
States: Scales (not sure how, but belongs to Anarcrothe)
Death: Orb (Mortanious's but I never see the orb once on him)
Balance: Soul (every Balace Guardian's soul remians locked untill one full fills the dreaded duty)

All born on Nosgoth have a prewriten destiny but Raziel when he became a wraight was freed from the "Whell of Fate" thus he could change his destiny. Ottmar was just the king of Willendorf, he was unimmportant. Ariel did not returne to the sorce because Kain did not asume the role of Balance Guardian, he is still just the Scion of Balance- the one who will bring the pillars to vampire rule.

They EVOVLED (Janos is the only one who Devolved), however the currupt soul (as EG said) malformed their bodies, Raziel (and his clan) had the possibility to resemble the Ancient Vampires. Also it's spelled "Wraith", "Wheel", "Important", "Currupted", "Nupraptor", "Unimportant". King Ottmar was somewhat important. Kain's birth FORCED him become the Balance Guardian AND Scion of Balance, Ariel couldn't rest untill Kain sacraficed himself to restore the pillars. Also knowing what you knew just in BO, would you REALLY want to make the Ultimate Sacrafice? I wouldn't that's for sure, like Kain and Vorador said "VAMPIRES ARE GODS."
