Hey,
I havent been here in a while, so sorry if a thread similar to this has been posted. On to the problem. Recently, my computer crashed, and i had to reinstall Thief 3. Luckily, the saved games were moved into the My Documents folder for whatever reason, and did not get deleted. When I did reinstall Thief, I could not load all of my old data. Is there any way to move all of my saved games back, and get them to load? (I tried moving the files back, but apparently, they were corrupted and could not load.) Thanks

ALL SAVES IN THIEF 3 are put in the DOCUMENTS. Your saves BELONG there.
So don't move them INTO THIEF.
You can go to http://www.somewhattwisted.com/thief-3-savegames.htm
To get Starts for each mission when a mission crashes.
But, to repeat, the DEFAULT for all the TDS saves IS The MY DOCUMENTS.

Thanks, but i still have them in My Documents. They still wont load though. What i guess i meant to ask was is there a specific file they have to be moved into, such as Current Save?

If they do not show up in your list of saved files when you go to the LOAD/SAVE menu, then you are probably screwed.
As for moving them to a particular place: No. Your new install probably just can't read the old files. If you have made any of the tweaks to your new install, or had done so in the originals, then the current USER.CFG set, or save index, probably can't read them.
There is no alternate save settings. They all go into the DEADLY SHADOWS in "MY DOCUMENTS". Unless you rewrite the Registry settings.
If you notice, there are many entries in the different {290-0bcfg etc} that have the same time and date settings.
I'm not certain how the save files function, but it looks like parts of each save are in many different entry locations.
As far as current save, that means exactly what it says. The save you just made. I don't think you can move a SAVE into the CURRENT SAVE and run it.
I have heard that you can delete all the files in the My Doc save file, and the game will insert new ones as you play.
Also, if you are unaware, the number of saves is limited only by the free space on your C hard drive. I have over 250 Megabytes of saves. In number this is about 90 actual dated and time stamped saves.
