Strange, It used to work but now I get this error:

C:\Windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows apllications.

Typically a good place to start looking regarding problems with Microsoft's products is their own support knowledgebase site at http://support.microsoft.com. Newsgroups are another great place to find free tech support.

See: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324767

There should also be a backup copy in the%systemroot%\repair folder.

I haven't a clue what is "AVP 1" (but I didn't bother Googling for it, either).

AVP is aliens vs predator 1, I tried it on my old WinMe system and it works just fine so I'll play it there.:)

Editing the autoexec.nt, creating a new one, or restoring it didn't sound like that tough a solution. You inferred that it was working before and then stopped. But if you want to run AVP under Windows ME then go for it as it might run smoother there. I still have a multiboot system with 36GB Windows ME in another partition in case I need it, too.
