Ok, I checked out the forum for this problem and saw a few solutions but none worked. Here's the issue:
I don't know if anybody will ever see this. Hehe...
I just installed Deus Ex on my new computer, now mind you. I used to play the game all the time on old machine, and it ran fine (perhaps a little slow at times.) But now I have the exact oppisite problem...
The game runs to bloody fast! The audio is all out of sync with the video. The audio plays at normal speed, but gets cut off, because the video moves 1.5x faster than it should. For example, in the opening cinima, when page says 'or better than kings.....gods' all you'd hear was 'or better than k.....' and in the background you see like the mech and the people walking faster than normal.
This makes gameplay annoying and non fun.
PC Specs:
-Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 2
-650 Watt Power Supply
-1GB Extreme Dual Channel DDR PC-3200 SDRAM at 400MHz
-AMD64 FX-53 processer
-ATI RADEON™ X800 PRO 256MB DDR3
-160GB Seagate® Barracuda 7,200 RPM w/8MB Cache
-Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 ZS High Definition 7.1 Surround Firewire
I would normally just go 'f*** it!' and stop trying after tweaking like, every setting and trying to run it in safe mode, tried 4 diffret graphics renderers, downloaded patches and drivers ect. But I really am intrested in trying all these mods like Zodiac and whatnot which I never played. In fact I'm listening to the Zodiac soundtrack now, it makes we want more DX gameplay.
Any suggestions? Perhaps my FPS is too high? Is there a way to limit FPS? I already have my user .ini set up to bind a key to talk. Perhaps there is a command?
I SAW the posts that say to change your monitors power setting, and I saw the post about vsync. Neither worked. What can I do?
