'Cos we know without her
We'd be lost, going 'Dur...'
No fm's done without asking Nightwalker

(OK, it doesn't really scan right, and it rhymes Nightwalker's name with itself, but (a) see if you can come up with another rhyme that works ('light corker', 'slight porker' (hmm, should stop before I get in more trouble!)) and (b) if it's good enough for Edward Lear it's good enough for me!)

Anyway, happy birthday and a nod of deep respect, ma'am. Much thanks for both your amazing skills/knwoeldge and your incredibly willingness to share.

Hehe - very nice, but I call it cheating on two counts:

<ol><li>You only rhymed with 'walker', not 'Nightwalker'; and
<li>'walker' and 'mock her' go nowhere near rhyming in my accent!</ol>

None the less, I'm getting a little scared of what I may have started with tBM and limericks!

Don't worry, I could come up with one if I wanted to. I'm not new to limericks, ya know. And besides, you still don't get it. Her name isn't Nightstalker! I almost wrote "As you are so fond of saying...Gotcha!". But I won't. LOL!

Okay, here's a quick one:

On our forum lives a real gem
My nemesis was an FM
She came one day
And led the way
When anyone asks she helps them

Nightwalker is the one to see
If you do need to find the key
The way she knows
around the foes
Is a very great sight to see

Her knowledge is so impressive
The effort may seem excessive
She does not mind
She is so kind
And now we are all expressive

Now her birthday is slightly past
And we all knew it would not last
But she still hears
Our deafening cheers
Her knowledge of FMs is vast

So considerate helpful and kind
These qualities in her we find
Loved by all here
We stand up and cheer
If she leaves we are in a bind

We hope she ne'er goes away
We would like to clone her but nay

I feel very spoiled this year, because a friend started a birthday thread at TTLG, too, which I didn't expect. All of this made it a very special birthday, which I guess is fitting since I made the half-century mark this year (Oh, my, that sounds awful!!:eek: )

Twas a bit late,
for the Birthday Date,
so I slipped silently in the door.

Everyone was drinking,
while I was a'slinking,
in my effort to make to make everyone poor.

My desire for the stuff,
flamed out in a puff,
there simply was nothing to score.

The revelers there,
had already pocketed the ware,
so I questioned what I was there for!

And then came a thought,
no gift had I brought,
and at my self I was sore.

A piece of paper I folded,
corners neatly molded,
I would leave it upon the floor.

And whilst scratching my nose,
I scrawled down some prose,
And through yon quill I did Roar.

When the Party is complete,
and the guests are in retreat,
