I know I've missed a lot of good ones, but they only allow 10 spots.

Platoon by far is the best vietnam movie.... hamburger hill, we were soldiers, and full metal jacket are all tied for second

84 charlie Mopic because it looked like the Blair Witch Project but with Vietnam. Then Platoon and Hamburger Hill was awesome too.

It was really not to be considered a war film. It was a pyschological thriller with the Vietnam war as a setting. That's probably why it seemed kinda weird.

after watching full metal jacket today I noticed quite a few mistakes. for one..In the scene where cowboy gets shot by the sniper through the hole, there is no hole in the wall at first, but in the next scene you'll notice a hole just appears out of nowhere.

You forgot "Tigerland" and "Go Tell the Spartans" Two of the finest Vietnam flicks

sorry but tigerland sucked and it wasnt even in vietnam, it was training for vietnam,so technically it isnt a vietnam war movie

what about Operation Dumbo Drop. No one got shot in that movie! They all took out the NVA by using martial arts. And no blood either...lame.

I own that movie. I thought it was awesome. Don't know why everyone hates it. But michael J Foxe's cheesy speech when the cherry gets blown up was kinda lame. But the dark/gloomyness of the movie was cool.

I liked we were soldiers because i think it was realistic and that is my favorite followed by platoon in a close second
