Embracing The Enemy

I need a spoiler! What's the easiest way to get into the castle without alerting the guards to my presence on expert mode? Please advise! Thanks in advance!

Right across from where you start, there are some boxes and a window. I usually climb up the boxes and go in that way. There's the opening to a machine chute of some kind on the other wall that takes you into the same room as the window. Once you're inside, you'll have to get up onto that metal chute anyway to get through to the next room. I think the only other way in on Expert is through the double doors that the drunken guard is standing in front of and that's no good.

I've tried the window last night. But, it's locked. Did you play a Thief 1 version of the game? If so, I have the Thief 2 version.

It opens with your lockpicks and you can stand on one of the boxes to get in. This mission was made for T2. There is no T1 version of it. :)

G'ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! :mad: :mad: It's impossible to get up on that metal shelf in the starting room! How do you do it? If I even try crouching down and jumping onto it, I still fall off! Please help! :rolleyes:

There's a nice big barrel right by it. Just push it out a bit, if necessary, climb onto it and then onto the chute. You can also put a rope arrow into the ceiling and jump from it. :)
