Defiance Soundtrack

Am I the only one who thinks the Defiance soundtrack is simply incredible? Is there anyway I can get a hold of it's tracks? I would kill for some of them...

Sarafan Stronghold (from SR2)
Necropolis (from SR)
Dark Forge (from SR2)
Silenced Cathedral (from SR)
BO2 Theme (from BO2)
Ozar Midrashim (from SR)

Yes -- the album uses remixes of the previous SR and BO (BO2, specifically) games. To ask for a sound track, one would have to uploaded from Eidos, Kurt Harland, or what have you, of their own will. Then someone else would have to be willing to host them. This is depending on if any of the above wish to do this of their own kind selves, seeing is how none of them will see a penny from it, and it would take effort to get this up and running.

They might be so kind, and if so, wow, lol. But, most likely, as with the other music sites, it would be a fan based project that would have to be incorporated. The Soul Reaver music we have on Blincoln and Umah's collaboration site is from an actual attempt to sell the music from the game as a sound track. That wasn't a big moneymaker, so the rest is simply the good will of the company, and Mr. Harland, Jim Hedges, and all else who have produced the music over the years.

...I'm trying to get the full version of the Defiance/SR theme but to no avail...I can only get an intro of it and you don't even hear the actual music, all you hear is talking about spikes or something...does anybody have any suggestions on better ways to get it?

Yes, that's Ozar Midrashim, but it's just that it's one of the best songs ever (as you've realized by now) so if you want it you'll have to buy it:p

You missed the music from Janos's Aerie from SR2 that was in Defiance. Ironically enough its when Janos is resurrected as well as parts of Voradors Mansion as well.

I would like to remind the participants of this discussion that any reference to illegally swapping Ozar Midrashim is not permitted here. (Posts that have done so have been removed accordingly).

Supporting Kurt Harland by purchasing his CD's is not asking too much considering how generous he, Mike Peaslee and Jim Hedges have been with regard to offering what songs they have.

uhh.. i get all my music from Soul Reaver II. They were kind enough to include ALL of SR1 and SR2 tracks in the bonus material for those who werent aware.. of course that only covers both SR games. ;)

The second link gives the album you are most likely to find anymore -- the greatest hits one, and this one is different then an earlier greatest hits CD of theirs.

Oh, and this track -- Ozar Midrashim -- is NOT on the SR1 soundtrack, because it was never authorized to be on it, so the song in question is that, and yes, I'm sure most people know the SR1 and 2 soundtracks are on SR2's Playstation 2 release.

From what I understand, the other themes from BO1 are not on there because no one has gotten a really good quality version of them. I have the copy of the themes that used to be up, and I can live with the lesser quality, but Umah and blincoln I believe are waiting for a real high quality, pure sounding version.

yes Avernus and Nupraptors music is very good. You have a good taste.
Id like to have them as well :)

Good music is so important. Avernus also is my favorite place of Bo1. And just look at your favorite movies they probably have good music too.

Would you believe I downloaded that track before and never noticed it was an MP3 that was 128KBPS at 44KHZ. I just downloaded it and listened to all 5.01 juicy minutes of it. Cheers @ the crew of www.lokmusic.com :).
