I CAn't INSTALL BEL ON XP

Hello,

Sorry my english, Im brazilian...
I have already install Commandos BEL and the Directx5 but when I start the game an error says: I CAN NOT FIND DIRECTX 5 ,and the game doesn't start...

I have installed it for 4 times. and I installed it with Directx 9 too but nothing happened.
NOTE: My commmandos 2 works very well..

What can I do?????

My version of original BEL disk was stepped on and broken so i bought a recent copy (released by a group called SOLD OUT Software and has a BIG BYTES label) Not sure exactly what they have done to it but it works fine on XP using DX9

My CD ROM drive is not woirking at the moment so i cant check it for file differences :(

Have you tried changing the short cut to run in Windows 95 via Compatability mode... might help

You need a patch for it. See this link:

The patch is in German, I can't find an English version, sorry.
When installing the patch you must have your CBEL CD in the disk drive. I hope you will find out the rest for yourself, otherwise just ask. ;)
