Hi All

Blackmail

Oh dear - stuck and going round in circles. How the heck do you get out of the mansion - anyone got any tips please? I have been trying to get out for ages but can't. Does this mean there is something I haven't yet completed/found and that is the reason I can't get out yet?

Please advise. Pulling my hair out now!!!!

Hit O and read the objectives. If they are all checked off, then you simply exit through any of the doors, or other openings to the outside world, and use one of the three exits to the area outside the wall.

I won't tell you where the exits are, but the front gate is the obvious one.

Thanks for the reply. I went back to the start of the mission - Blackmail - and when I checked my items the recording is not listed - so how can I play it to the sheriff? Is there a way to check that I still had the recording before I entered the Mansion? (prior to blackmail) I am sure I did have it but am now stuck. Please help and many thanks.

Did you read the objectives? Are they all checked off? While in the mission hit the "O" key. A list of objectives should come up.

If they are all checked off, then you should be able to leave. Don't worry about the recording, just make sure that all the little boxes on the OBJECTIVES list are checked off.

Did you find Sheriff Truart?

Can't find Truart - but thought he was dead?? Can hear someone in the cellar but can't find any entrance/switch and am now at a loss as to where to go next - been round in circles for hours...

You need to work your way to Truarts bedroom on the third floor. You will need some more items to get you up there.

As for the cellar, you can get there a couple of ways (the moaning you hear).

You are moving through the missions too fast. You have overlooked a number of things that are explained as you read the papers etc. that you find and the conversations that you should be listening too.

Are you trying to follow a walkthrough? If so put it in the garbage and LOOK and LISTEN.

Hi

No I am not following a walkthrough. I have been up to Truart's bedroom and he wasn't there. I thought I heard the guards say that Truart had been killed? I have been up to the attic also. I used the gears on doors etc and generally always look for info on the walls and desks etc. I have obviously overlooked something but can't think where/when. I shall keep going even if it means I have to begin again.

Don't worry - I went back and discovered the gear in Truart's bedroom - I missed it the first time because I was trying to get away!!

I am now after Lt Mosely!!
