This EXACT thread has been made at least 100 other times. Press http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/top_search.gif THAT button and type in 'Pagan Corner Stone'. You'll find tons of threads about the subject, with locations, pictures, pretty much everything.

It is difficult to notice. I completed the game and never saw one myself, so you aren't alone.

I had trouble with this too. It is much easier to ally with the hammers.
