Crash to desktop frequently

I have tried everything mentioned in the readme notes yet I still crash to the desktop on a very regular and annoying basis.
I am running Win XP pro
GeForce 5700 ultra w 128 mb
Any suggewtions?

Basic game flaw. Depending on how all of your hardware works together will effect the amount of time syou crash. Plus your system is only as strong as your weakest link.

Just save a lot and you will be fine.
