Can someone help me. I installed thief 3 with admin rights and it is working fine. When my son tries to play with a no admin account, the game doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong or can I change this somewhere?

No, you are doing everything right...you MUST HAVE Admin rights to install and play Thief: DS. Your son will need to play with you logged in as Admin. Just make sure he understands not to do anything else except play Thief.

That's because as a non-admin he has no rights to read files located in your My Documents folder, which is where the saves are stored. I have no idea why on earth ISA decided to put them there.

This is the result of a half-a$$ed attempt to start a standard location for save files. A couple of games (GTA3 and Dungeon Siege among others) started doing it years ago and it won't quite seem to go away.

You are correct in that it is "a half-a$$ed attempt", but it is here to stay. This is something that Unix and Linux have been doing for ages (and they do it so much better). Maybe Longhorn will get it right (XP obviously didn't).
