kinda strange... I start my new demo of thief III and the background and guards are black. the only thing that has color is the sky and the footprints I'm supposed to follow. anybody know what the hell is going on???:confused:

Have you set the brightness/shadow detail and other controls to maximum? If so then it sounds like:
Your drivers are not right. What card are you using?

I have an ati 8500. current drivers... and brightness doesnt matter at all... its still black. *cries*

You need a new graphics card. I'm barely better... ATI 9200, I have problems but nothing that makes the game not worth playing.

Try Catalyst drivers version 4.4 - seems to have solved some peoples video problems.

I'm running the game on ATI AIW 8500 with no problems.

Try the new drivers from www.omegadrivers.net and the DRIVER CLEANER tool from http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/.

Follow the instructions exactly.

My little 8500 runs like a champ.
