mugging

Can someone please tell me how to mug npc's for valuable, un-pickable items? i thought i heard it could be done, but im not sure exactly how...:confused:

If this is a question about how to do it in the new Thief game there are three ways.

1.You can knock them out.

2.Sometimes they will drop the items they are wearing if you wave a weapon in front of them{ note that this does not always work but its the only way to do it if you do not want to knock them out or kill them.}.

3.Kill them.

I haven't mugged too many people, but when I do I'll whack them with the blackjack from in front to get their attention but not knock them out. Then I'll pull a broadhead on them & they drop their loot. I've been wondering if, the more people you attack the more likely people are to drop their valuables for you--sometimes it seems that way.
