I thought that Thief should be multiplay game too, there could be guilds and big big town(s) and the guild ladder and player ladder, i hope that some of those who made Thief Deadly Shadows would read this and comment about the subject and i'd like to hear what other Thief players think about this.

Sounds cinda cool :D , but this would take like.. well.. for ever  ... Coulda been cool to have guilds and fight each other and all but there are allot of questions to be answered then. Im for it but it would take ages to produse (in my opinion)

It would be cool to blackjack someone intelligent for a change, but how would shadows work? The only way I'm able to think of is that Garrett would become more transparent the deeper the shadows.

... although this would probably mean that every character was sneaking around in the deepest shadows and have to conk into each other the whole time.

But the blackjackings! Now THAT would be cool.

I believe the website you're looking for is www.thieveryut.com

It's a mod for the original Unreal Tournament, but it's Thief Multiplayer. Not a MMORPG, but multiplayer Thief. It's lots of fun.

I might checkout the UT mod but, I don't see how mutliplayer thief could ever work without some major alterations to gameplay. No human player is going to think 'oh I must have imagined it' and not investigate the dark shadows! Personally, I always thought the idea of having to eat and drink during the game and overindulging or eating the wrong foods could cause a bit of flatulence would be quite funny :)

Well it took ages to produce TDS....so no big deal. We are a patient group of taffers.

I have been playing Thievery UT on line for about a year and it is a blast. Try it solo first to learn the game and maps and spectate other players. You can also run around as a rat but most players like to stomp on you. Playing with human AI's......it is an entirely new game. They do hunt you down without mercy.

There is an FM out there where Garrett is on trial and Benny lets one loose. It is so funny but I cannot remember the name of the FM.

Bigger maps and(or) servers, i thought about the transparent thing too and i think that it would be good.
i thought about some weapons and armours, like small dagger and long dagger (more range and +1 dmg?) and like mace to replace blackjack (+1dmg for mace?) and i thought about some armour like studdet leather (-1 dmg when hit?) and that weapons have their litmits to hit like 400 hits then it's broken and there would be blacksmith who would make and repair weapons? and plz comment about these ideas =)

I dreamt about a Thief multiplayer myself... until I got Thievery, which is an absolute blast. Much harder then usual Thief beause you aren't playing against a bunch of braindead AI (well... most of the time :) ).
