Almost beat T:DS until it stops loading...

So here's the absolutely most evil problem I have ever had with any game.
I just beat the cradle mission (awesome might I add), and now searching for the Hag Gamall who's in Audale. Anyway, here's the problem:

When I try to enter Audale, and my game shuts down to Win XP desktop. I saved right in front of the spawn point and have tried everything. Wait for guards to settle down, defrag my HD, make sure it still had the files for Audale, etc. I am clueless at this point. So close to the end too....

I have never had any problems with this game, nor with anything like this for any other game.

WTF is wrong? DAMNIT ION HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so originally it went straight to desktop while trying to load Audale. Now it completely loads Audale, then less then a second later it crashes to the desktop....

Why must the game taunt me like this????????????????:confused:

I have exactly the same problem. One second after Audale finishes loading, the game crashes. Very strange...

Does anyone have a savegame in Audale after the cradle mission? Perhaps that could help me.

So, now I was able to hit -esc- before the game crashes to desktop. I figured, shi....t, I got it. Nope!:mad: Once I hit -esc- again, it crashes again....WTF?
I even got a saved game in Audale. It doesn't matter though, because it crashes no matter what I do.

Damn, must the gaming gods hate me??!?!!!!!!???????????

Seriously though, this problem really sucks. I almost finished this cool game. Ion???? ARE YOU THERE??? HELLO?????????????????????????

Too all who have trouble loading Audale. What I did was let it load Audale, then when it was finished, IMMEDIATELY hit esc and got into the menu. Next, I saved the game on a new game save. Then hit esc once more. Mine crashed at this point. BUT WAIT!!!!

Load up the game again, right after it crashed, and load up the new save game. It should load, and it should stay stable. I played a while afterwards until I got stuck trying to find a bracelet. Which by the way is actually easy to find.

Anyway, I hope this works for other people as it did for me!
