Crash to desktop on killing

Hi,

For some reason my game has developed a problem from nowhere. I'm in the town for the first time and no matter where i go now if i kill someone the games crashes to desktop. Anyone got any ideas?

Tried Knocking out instead of killing?

Yes that still does the same thing. Anyway it's in a part of the game where i have to kill. Can someone please help, rather than just saying don't do it

I have not found the crashing to be related to any one specific action. Could you elaborate on where you exactly are, and what you CAN do as well as what you can't. It sounds like you just finished nabbing the Opal and spawned in your apartment for the first time. Can you get all the stuff in your apartment? Are you trying to blackjack the guard in Garret's Apt? Cause he's a special guard, but should still be able to be conked. Can you hit stuff in Garret's Apt? Like maybe break boxes by hitting them? Have you tried leaving the Apt and blackjacking one of the townspeople or town guards? If you can make the crash happen each and every time then you definitely have a serious bug that Eidos needs to be aware of...post the details in the Bug thread: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39427

I have done alot in town i sold my loot from the mansion and got locked up and have escaped. I am now trying to get to Stonemarket, the crash happens each and everytime i try to kill someone from this point.

Started happening to me as well right after I escaped from Pavelock Prison.
