Ok, this bug has been bothering me since I bought the game last month. I haven't seen anyone else bring this up, so I'm going to!

When I'm done with my fence or leave a thief store, I am always staring straight up at the sky when I exit!!! Shouldn't the default be for Garrett to be staring forward? Incredibly annoying since I'm not even faced directly away from the door like someone would after leaving somewhere. I'm staring straight up and my body is randomly turned slightly to the left or right so I have to take a few seconds to orient myself with my surroundings.

Edit: Come on now, I see people viewing this thread but not responding... does the above stuff happen to any one else? Ultimately, that's what I wondering: is it just me or is it happening to everyone?

Thank you!

I am usually disoriented as well, though never staring at the sky, and does take a second to re-orient myself to my surroundings. It is very annoying.

I seem to have found another bug with the fences.

It involves the first time you go to one. It seems the first time you visist, if you don't listen to their entire speech, then everytime you come back they repeat it. This became obvious to me my second time through, when I was already at the Citidel yet Perry was still yapping about the Bloodline Opal and how Lady Elizibeth was after me. The only way for this not to happen is to listen to their entire speech.

Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem. But when you've got a fence as annoying as Black Market Bertha... *shudder*

there's also this bug with the dagger. it never ends with this game, geez.

if you HOLD DOWN the mouse button, he keeps swinging. like, how unrealistic is that?! Geez, what were the developers thinking, or smoking. You should have to click your mouse for each and every swing.

bugs, unreal

oh! oh! i got another one

you can throw a vase against the wall, and it does not break! pffft, are these vases made of fiber glass?! wtf.

(Bottles are the hardest material known to man in this game, they will smash anything.)

Come on, these are little things, don't let them bug you so much! (no pun intended)

I have the same problem as the orginal poster. When ever I leave the stores or fences, I'm staring up at the sky. It always takes a couple seconds to get oriented.

Fortunately, it's never been a problem so I didn't think much about it.

Every time I exit stores/fences I stare at the ground. Maybe our Garrets have different personalities, some like looking at the stars, others stare at their feet bluntly. :D

Uh... [stares at his feet] ...gotta go, sorry

Lendrick, I bet I know the answer!!!

I invert my mouse's Y axis. I'm betting that you don't correct? That would explain why we stare in opposite directions on the Y axis... you down, me up!

You may be on to something Rambis. I am always staring at the ground, and I don't invert my mouse.

inverted mine, and I am looking at the top of the door upon exiting. as already noted, I don't really pay attention to it because now I am already compensating for it.

I bet the movements of the mouse inside the shop while you buy things are also affecting Garrett's view direction. The Exit button is at the bottom of the screen, right? So people who don't invert end up looking down, people who do end up looking up. You could try quickly moving your mouse back towards the middle of the screen soon as you click the exit button.

grafixmonkey should change his username to Sherlock Holmes.

Good job!!!

Guess we didn't need Scooby-Doo to figure this mystery out...

Yeah...that's what happens to me too. Oddly enough, now that I've started over I'm noticing that Garret starts out looking mostly straight ahead, perhaps just a little bit up, and I think it gets worse each time he visits a fence.

Oh yeah! Every time I come out of a shop there I am, staring at the sky, usually in full light, waiting to be cut down by the City Watch!

Off topic, but does anybody else find it annoying that they often put you in full light when coming out of shops or traveling between different areas of The City? You would think that they would at least have the decency to put you in a shadow somewhere near the door!

Yeah! That worthless shop keep should keep his door in shadow so the thieves don't have to be sneaking around in full light. I think I'll go disable my motion sensor activated flood lights. What was I thinking? I could have temporarily blinded some sneak! Of course the really good thieves quickly duck and slide off to the side of the door quickly and anyone seeing them and focusing on the doorway won't find anything there. And, by the time they think to scan the shadows the thief is gone.

Yeah, but the shops in question ARE for thieves! You didn't think that a red hand print was an official advertising, did you?
