Most of us have played T1/2/3... The end of written times will lead to... what ?
Well a few things that may be interesting...
Design a giant enormous city, wich lots of mansion / museums / castles / shops, and let us free to find our way in... Deal with all the stuff... even the night / day... Having to find the blackmarket by yourself to sell what you stole... Having to find a place to rest for the day and so on... Making your wealth while hearing at rumors... The most expensive and rares items will be trade / stolen and move from place to place... The storyline mission being not only to find an item in a selected house... but in a town, so we would have to find where to look for it first and investigate a bit... And then, once we got it, the story continues... maybe you have now to find another place to live... you are chased ... and so on....
The storyline is great in the T series... But what about keeping that linear storyline in a non linear city ! A city where you can be hired by rich ppl to steal or even murder... A city where you are free to move in... A city in which guards not just respawn as fast as they are killed, but 2 hours later, when new guards should come to replace them... A city in which a part of the town which has had too much trouble the night before will get more guards that night... An interactive city... which lives without you...
Make the story about the city, not the city about the story...
Well, some other things :
- a rpg like... Stealing important stuff or killing important guys will make you win some experience... That experience will let you buy some special skills and choose your own way to play... For example... if u helped pagans, you could choose to buy some mage skills such as roots or poisons... or if u helped keepers, get some true invisibility, also as a mage... Or developp archery skills to be more efficient... (hit the eye if u aim at the head) ... or even your fighting skills (basic damage/resist/ speed combat... combat skills .... dual weapons ...
Well the city of Garrett could be a great place to set up all that in it ! Hmmm makes me think of trying to make a pen of paper game of it..... interesting...
And of course... a Love story in T4 ! I heard in T3 that Viktoria was not dead... Damn, since T1 I have been loving her :p
Well that all maybe part of a great dream... But what YOU would like to find in T4... if a T4 is to be done
PS : no french version this time plz... waiting 2 weeks to find bugged subtitles... 20% of the menu buttons not being translated, and I damn miss the french Garrett's voice...
