I was reading over an old review of Defiance, and the people that wrote it said they fell through the floor sometimes. :/

One question - has this actually happened to anyone? :confused:

Yes many times with Raziel especially in the last Raziel chapter in the Vampire Citadel...

Yup, happened to me as well. With Kain in one of the forges, where you have to climb up some rubble to get to the floor above... Kain fell into nothingness a few times there... :mad:

It has happened to me once with Raziel right at the start of a cutscene. No big deal though. It has only happened once in four playthroughs.

Vorador's mansion the 2nd time around after retrieving the object behind his statue. I jumped into the little fountain inbetween both staircases and fell through the floor into nothingness.. i heard the whole spectral shift followed by an explosion immediately. was pretty cool i think... :P

i have experienced every possible glitch mentioned but none more annoying then Kain or Raziel locking up in combat. My controller was literally dead. I was able to reset the control by pulling the plug from the PS2 but found myself doing this over and over repeatedly at times in the same battle. :rolleyes:

today, none of this crap happens at all and the same game works much much better than it did in November/December. I think my filthy playstation may have contributed in part but i have managed to clean it regularly now. no complaints here...

It happened to me as well, mostly when I was walking on the rubble of a collapsed warp gates.

Under Avernus a Demon hit me and I flew into a corner and fell throught the floor but only once.

I can't remember which forge it was, but one of the guardians was time. I had almost defeated them when I dissapeared, (but not completely fell through,) I switched to wireframe, but I slipped and fell then.

And when I revived, the guardians were both at full strength again but all the souls had dissapeared. (At that point I felt justified in using the refill health code.)

just the other day I was in Vorador's Mansion with the Heart and knocked both Hylden revenants back through the wall they emerged from.. that was hillarious. :p

funny..

i never fell through the floor myself untill i read about it here in the forums. i had to be jinxed.. i always run out of the front door (after recovering the TK rune) and jump in the fountain.. that one time i fall straight through it.

I fell through the floor in Vorador's courtyard but with the help of a vampire hunter. He performed his leaping hammer attack on Raziel and apparently he was so strong that he smashed Raziel right through the ground and into the nothingness below.

I had that too, I have another one that I want to discuss in my Oddity thread. I fell through something you wouldnt dare imagine even if you tried to fall through it. Give you a clue... its in Voradors Mansion and it has nothing to do with stairs ;).

I once "squeezed" through the debrie that was blocking Vorador's front door. I was trying to jump up on the ledge. The camera didn't follow me through. Good thing I knew what the other side of the wall looked like, I had to climb out in wireframe mode and retrieve the camera.

The only time something like it happened to me was, when I was playing as Kain I was in the air doing the floating feeding then when I reached the floor Kain went into his bat form and the game restarted at the check point.

But I tried doing it again it wouldn't work :(

you can also TK throw/hit enemies through warp gates, funny as all hell
