I've got a new system (athlon 3400+ 1024 ddr 300 ram, 800mhz fsb and radeon 9800pro 128) and this game runs well between "skips" or the aformentioned "lag". From my experience with my old comp this would be due to caching textures and limited memory. I set the cache size in default.ini to 800 mb and no diference!
