Where do you find the Monkey Paw thing?

I have been wandering everwhere trying to find the monkey paw (something Paw) thing. Can someone please tell me where it is.

Assuming youre in the Pagan Sanctuary...

check your map, in the northwest area you will see a path leading to the "Taproot" something or other. That is where the paw is. You need to find a narrow staircase that goes down and to the left into a short underground tunnel, immediatly after which you will come to the root itself. The Jacknal's Paw is suspended by the root, and to get it down you need to perform the ceremony mentioned in the pagans book as follows:

1) Shoot a water arrow at the water symbol at the base of the altar. A puff of smoke will appear by the paw.
2) Shoot a moss arrow at the green symbol at the base of the altar. More smoke.
3) Put a DEAD (Not unconcious) body on the flat section of the altar. Third puff of smoke.

You should then be able to retrieve the paw. If it isn't working, try moving the body around, people have had trouble with it.
