Questions about Keeper Library and Garret's Apt. *spoiler*

Sorry if these are repeats, I try to scan the forum to see if my questions have already been answered in another post before posting, but haven't found the answer.

Anyway, about the Keeper Library:

I've heard everyone talk about a secret room on the top floor of the library, and think I've found the switch that opens it ..that panel on the floor in the dorm or sleeping area...but I can't find the room. I haven't yet looked in the forbidden library, can't get in there yet, but everyone talks like it's in the main library and I can't find any secret rooms there...where it at?

And about Garret's Apartment:

In the main room across from the chest there is a raised square of wood with metal edges on the ground. It sure looks like the top of a secret compartment to me, but can't figure out how to open it. If it's not a secret compartment, any speculations as to what it is? Garret's taken up woodworking?

The panel in the floor of the library allows access to a keeper gateway that leads into the Forbidden Library. You have to go get the Door Glyph upgrade before you can get in there. The panel on the floor of Garrett's apartment I have wondered about myself, but have no idea what purpose it holds, if any.

Sorry if I'm being a pain, but need more speciifics.... I have the door glyph upgrade, but when ...

I push the panel, I go looking all over to see if anything's changed and I can't see anything, no new glyph to push or new doors or anything

It's probably right under my nose and I'm being moronic not to see it, but I need to know exactly where to go, 'cause my dumb-a** is tired of looking for something I can't find.

OK, here's the deal:

Push the panel on the floor in that little bedroom in the Keeper library. A bookshelf beside you will swing open.

Right next to me...in the same room? DOH.. ok, I'll go look see....I've been stumped by other puzzles right under my nose, but this is just sad.... so sorry....

ok once I make it into the forbidden library, I'm sure I'll be back for help finding the hidden room, because I was in the forbidden library last time I played through, but could never find it.

Ok, back from checking and just because I feel like a complete idiot now, must explain.... every time I hit the panel, I ran right out to the library to see what door it opened...in my excitement it never occured to me to turn around...um yeah, don't say it, I will *I AM A DIP ******

The room that you are in after missions, there is a bookshelf on the left of a door, in front of it is a switch, the swinging shelf is in the same room so don't worry.

Its not a secret compartment, I think its just a prop that Garrett must use in his spare time to practice lockpicking :)
