Need Help: General Protection Fault

Hi all,

I'm still at the first level. I talked to the leader of NFS and went to the UNATCO headquarters to the west. I got in, and when I try to get to the second level, the game auto-saves and less than an half second the game returns to the desktop with an error message: "General Protection Fault." and lots of tecnical things below. I need help urgently.

PS: Sorry for possible grammer mistakes, I'm not good with English. :(

Start up the game in safe mode and try that for going through the transition. Once you're through, you should be able to use the regular game mode (though you'll need to reset all your video and sound options after using safe mode).
