"OHHHHHH of course! Its our fault that we expected a game to run on our computer! After all we ALWAYS carry around the exact specs of our video cards and NEVER fail to check the corner box 1 inch tall and 1.5 inches long on the BACK of the box!
After all, EVERYONE is technically savvy enough to know about that kind of thing. I mean the differences between the NVIDIA GeForce 4TI and the NVIDIA GEForce 4MX is so painstakingly OBVIOUS as night and day!!
Of course its preposterous that any of us could get a video card that doesnt have the latest pixel shader BEFORE we ever knew Thief would need something we had never heard of! Its all our fault for not being psychic.
I presently have 2 options: Replace the video card of my Dell that is just a hair over 6 months old, or return Thief 3 and get my money back.
Congratulations Eidos, you lost my $40."
What!? Of course you should know exactly what your comp is capable of and what it is running. That is as bad as someone with a lawsuit claiming their coffee was too hot. You should just know what is going on inside your machine. And on top of that you can't come here complaining with excuses when everything is available to you through various websites concerning your comp info and Thief:3 stats. It's a tired excuse. Plus that card is bad. Get the new ATI X800 PRO, crushes the new NVIDIA. However for someone looking out for the pocket book, ATI has great cards out on pricewatch that are cheap as dirt.
