Using grenades

How do you use a grenade? I can call it up so that the grenade icon appears on the lower left side of the screen, but I cannot work out to thow it, or set it, or whatever you are supposed to do with these. The manual seems to be short on information in this regard, too. It suugests that you can throw it, but If I use my right mouse Gaarrett draws an arrow.

Press I to use an item like grenades or healing potions.

I still can't get it to work. I hit the capital I with the grenade selected and nothing happens at all.

Can you be more precise? Do I need to use the mouse at all?

I also noticed in the training session when I was suposd to use the flashbomb I never got it to work and just ran out the door instead.

Also, how do I place the grenade where I want it to go? I don't want to fling it randomly - I'm trying to place it in a monster's path.

Try binding another key to it. I binded "F" so it's nice and close to my left hand, instead of having to reach halfway across the face of the keyboard to get to a commonly used bind.

bind it to your middle mouse button...
