Here are my specs:
512MB SyncDRAM
80GB Hard Drive
64 MB GeForce 2 MX Graphics Card
1.7 GHz
Will be getting my game on Tuesday. I was just wondering if anybody has been able to run their game on a GeForce 2 at all? Please let me know! Thanks!
Will not work, period. The chip doesn't support the proper pixel shader and never will.

Man hate to tell you, but if you took 4 of those cards, duct tape em together and pray, it still wont load.
Ya gotta upgrade. I did get it to load on my gf2 ultra pc, but it crashed after intro. Ya gotta upgrade.
Good hunt.

Well hate to burst the bubbles of you nay sayers but i was able to run thief 3 on 2 higher end geforce 2 and a geforce 4 MX. sure it looked like crap but it had a decent frame rate. thus making it playable if you don't mind the low res and crappy graphics.
Don't expect to see any cool graphics or anything but it does work.

Given that the GF2 does not have pixel shader support, I find that hard to believe. As for the GF4mx, some people have had luck with 3danalyzer, but most haven't.
However, I'm sure you can post exactly how you managed to do it for the benefit of everyone with those cards.

If your video card does not support "Pixilator version 1.1" you (and I) are screwed (with a capital SCREW).
Now get out there and buy a new video card (this is not a paid advertisment).

I just downloaded the demo and found out I need to update my NVidia GeForce driver. So I went to NVidia and loaded version 56.72 but the game still is not working .. still says the same thing. That I need the Pixil shader.
So I'm stumped now and not sure what to do. Can you give me some advice?

Kamarie, are you using a GeForce 2 - MX or otherwise, or a GeForce4 MX? If that's the case, even if you update the driver, you still won't be able to play the game just like the folks said here earlier. Those cards don't have the needed pixel shaders. You *might* (might is the operative word here) fool the game into thinking you have met that requirement by using 3DAnalyzer, but there's nobody posting any working config here for that program so it is still a very longshot.
I'm looking at the demo right now and it's 400+ mb, *ouch*
But it's still better than buying the game and taking it home and finding out it doesn't work with your rig.

this sucks bigtime. My computers only like 1-1/2 yrs old. Sure aint gonna go out and spend $200 on a new driver at this time. There's plenty of other games out there I can play.
Well thanks for the reply. I agree, I'm glad I didnt go out and purchase the game only to find out I cant use it.

I have tried 3D-Analyze on the T3.exe file with the emulation for pixel shaders caps on and it works but when I get to see a tip about lockpicking the game crashes. I have a Geforce 4 MX videocard. Are there other settings that must be adjusted in 3D-Analyze to let the game work?

Another stupid question. Do I have to replace it with an Nvidia brand card or can I switch to a different brand? I hear you have to keep the same brand of video cards on your motherboard or it won't work.

No I'm pretty sure you can switch brands, even if your motherboard has all the super duper nVIDIA features, whatever they are.

Nope, Mackie, as long as the card fits the right kind of slot on your motherboard (AGP or PCI), you can use whatever brand you like.

mackie....you don't have to spend $200 on a new video card. this one will work great for you.
ATI Radeon 9700Pro for $111 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-240-014&depa=0)

I tried 3d analyzer with full version of T3 but it doesn't work. After presentation it return to desktop. Can you write the configuration/setting of 3d analyzer for the G Force 4 MX please ? Specify also the exe file (t3.exe or t3main.exe)

Has anyone debugged what is causing the crash to the desktop on startup? I'm at the same place as everyone else having tried numerous derivations of 3D-Analyze options with no avail.
