Stuck on level, please help

I'm in the pagan sanctuary trying to complete the 'ritual of the root'.

I shot the base with water and moss and that worked but I cant figure out how to do/get blood. I killed a guy and stuck his carcus on the thing but nothing happens. I've even killed the monster walking around the root on the thing but it doesn't work. Where am I suposed to get the blood from? :confused:

OOops, nevermind. Just got in =p The dead guard has to *carefully* be placed on it.

Had the same problem. Took me FOREVER to place the dead guard in the correct position to make it work.

Hello.
Any chance you can share this placement of the corpse with us?
Its been an hour now of tossing a corpse around, and if I hear "uh-uh" one more time I'm tossing my monitor out the window:confused:

I'm not sure theres much tactic to it. I got it the first time, never knew it was that tough. Just picked the corpse up, tossed it on the rune thingy (after I had already done the moss and water ones), and bam. Tree opens up.

lol, had to stab him a few more times after I put him on the alter, guess his wounds from my arrows had healed in the time it took me to carry him there :)
