View Full Version : The best friend Lara Croft could EVER run into!!!
Godfather
08-12-2002, 02:21 PM
Of all the sympathetic people, best buddies, friends, pals and good characters you have EVER seen in movies, videogames or commercials and heard in music lyrics or even poems ... which ones would you very much like to see teaming up with Lara Croft? I know Kurtis Trent is her future partner, but just imagine that Core had never come up with this character ... who then would you choose to help Lara Croft finish the job in one piece?
I know I've made one of those stupid polls again, but you don't have to vote if you don't want to. You may come up with a name yourself of one (or more) good character(s) that you really like(d) and mention it without voting ... although I would really appreciate your vote ... thanks!

Private J. Vasquez seems more of a team player than Sarah Conner. Sarah's more a loner like Lara and I think the two of them working together would end up in a boxing match.

boxing's fun :p
I picked James Bond because even though the guys who played him are old, there are a lot of them. :D

Me cause I can do the part when one runs away and Lara can keep dragging me back hehe I also would love to have a go at the weapons Lara uses also I'd want to help Lara, from the poll Austin Powell cause he is funny, James Bond in Golden eye he is so sexy and he could fall for Lara um Han Solo another dude to fall for Lara, Luke Skywalker you have to have a jedi knight's help. The aussie crock hunter guy Steve what's his name cause he'd annoy Lara to death.

I think Private J. Vasquez is the best choice.

Hmmm, interesting to hear that I'm not the only one who really liked that character Vasquez and the beautiful performance by Jenette Goldstein in Aliens. I still think; up to this day; that her acting is one of the very best female performances I have ever seen in an (action)-movie!!

Its a crime the Oscars overlook that kinda thing.
(That honour goes to Angela Bassett in "Strange Days" for me, because she actually did act in it.)
The Cheshire Cat, I say.

Hey, how 'bout Angela Bassett in "What's love got to do with it?" She was very good in that one too, wasn't she? And she got (rightfully so!) an Academy Award-nomination for that performance; didn't she??! http://www.uniquehardware.co.uk/server-smilies/cwm/cwm/lurk.gif

Well, it is kind of an action movie, no? I mean: how many times doesn't she get beaten by her husband? That's ... ... action.

Do you become a member because you've reached a certain amount of written polls ... err ... posts :D or do you become a member because of the time that you first signed on?
And if it's option number two, would I have gone from junior member to member even if I only would have written very few posts and my time was finished, so that they could upgrade my position? Understand, anyone or is it too hard? Sorry then! :)

Geez, nobody voted for poor Eddie Murphy! I thought after having played the fifth Tomb Raider-game and having witnessed the (funny) character Zip, some people might have liked those two (EM and LC) to make a team! Well, I guess not.

Zip was widely considered to be one of the biggest mistakes ever in a TR game, and one of the worst examples of racial stereo-types in any media.
I found the thinking behind him offensive, too.

True, but still he was funny. :D
Besides, I don't think Lara is ever gonna work with him again. Although the operation was successful, it was a difficult and long road and I remember her complaining about his babbling more than once. So ... he's gone forever! sniff sniff
