My specs,
Alienware
P4 3G
NV 5700 Ultra
SB Audigy 2 ZS
1 Gig Ram

I am running the game at 1024 x 768 with no problems, when I try to play at 1600 x 1200 its possible but a little slow.
My real question is what does the bloom function do and does it efect performance in any way?

I hear its supposed to create the effect of ambiant light by giving off a subtle soft haze around lighted objects. I have a Radeon 9700pro and I hardly notice the effect myself but the performance hit is supposed to be minimal (1 or 2fps)

Bloom blurs the graphics a bit and adds something of a a haze around backlighted objects. Some people like the effect, most don't ;).

Performance-wise bloom is a wildcard. On some systems it seems to improve performance, on others it slows the game down.

I will have to try it off and on to see I guess.
