Hey Guys if u hvn't download the newest ATI driver for Radeon it's absolutelly time to DO so !!!!
Link is
http://www2.ati.com/drivers/wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-01-040421a-015419c.exe
I hv installed it and try Hitman again for 1 hr and i hvn't crashed even once, thanks to the ATI guys. I guess it's the VPU Recovery email's credit.
I turned everything back on, use default settings and it looks great; don't hv time to try higher settings 'cause i hvn't play it for a long long time and too afraid to screw again while i can enjoy the Post Filtering.
It works for me (at least till now) good luck to u all. ( c my other posts for how painful i hv been)

here is the moment where I point out that these drivers were out before Hitman Contracts release :)
can someone make this thread Sticky so everyone can stop *****ing at IOI and EIDOS now... its ATI's fault... it usually is since they cant code decent drivers if they try... :D

i don't know if it's absolutelly ATI's fault, not 100% with it. Because by reading the forums u know GeFore Cards r also hving serious pb like extreme low fps. If it's ATI's fault, it means it's also Nividia's fault too.
Besides, this is a new driver (only been out for a week or so , i guess) and this is the first time i hv crashed pb for thousands of ppl either Radeon or GeForce users.

Just a further note, i hv Catalyst 4.4 driver installed and it did cause the crash pb, if any guys do not hv a 4.5 driver installed, try it immediatelly. This is a fresh new driver, only been out for about a week or so.
Nope. I just installed those drivers, got up to the syringes on the first level and the game died. I used to be able to get to the elevator :|

sorry to hear that ( maybe i made a mistake about the new driver!?). However, it did fix the crash that i WAS hving and I hv finished the game already. Now i m playing it the 2nd time.
Which Radeon Family r u using? i use Radeon 9500 Pro. Also, do u use intel chip sets? Try Under Clock ur CPU ( lower ur CPU's cycle speed) it might help to detect the pbs. I use this technique all the time when i can't find the solutions. Lower the Video Card's GPU speed also. Hope this will help u out.

It's not really fixed if you can't hear the voices.
Once you are able to hear the voices--(the way the game is intended to be)--THEN it will be fixed.

Just Wondering, is it the EAX that cause the pb ?? u can turn it off in HitmanContracts.ini and change "Use EAX 0" if it's 1 instead
