After many have requested, the powers that be have succumbed.
A new forum with new features.
But at what price?
Newbie status and fresh post counts for all?
Not exactly.
The mods get to keep their old stats - sort of.
They may look like the old stats and registration dates but if
you look closely you'll see that they are not.
More secret mod stuff, I'll bet.

I think the mods should be commended for the jobs they've
performed and the hand they've had in getting this
new place up and running.
Personally, I've never been one to be impressed or preocupied with post counts,
but I have always felt that registration date was important.
I could always direct game questions to people who I knew had been
around for a while. Not that newer folk were any less helpful.

I applaud Eidos' efforts at modernization with the new forums.
Thanks for listening!

Carry on...

Deek, think about. Tons of members they would have to change. Although I do want my registration date back. July of 2001 was for DKSM but I did officially come at Feb. 2001 as dakulesportman.

i think in a way it is good...now everybody are equals...u will still know if some 1 has alot of knowledge...if u want an answer just ask the question!

Well, except for people who post way too many times and have over 100 posts in 2 days. ;)

Umm...what does post count have to do with anything? It has been my experience that post quality, not quantity, is the most important thing. It makes no difference if someone has, oh, say...umm...147 posts in one and a half days, or, you know, something like that, or if they have 1. ;)

jah me to...but its a bit unrealistic to expect the mods to enter all the peoples date...some ppl wont come here...it is just too much work!
they are no super human...well at times...but not all the time, a task like that would put a big dent in their powers...i mean there were like 35000 registered ppl in the other forum...
