Kain-Tears

Hey everyone.

When Kain kills Umah in Blood Omen 2, is that a tear that we see? heh. He squints his eyes and looks down. I wonder if that burned his skin a little. :D

I can't remember who started it or where they got the idea from, but in the RP we seem to have latched onto the idea that vampires cry blood tears. Maybe that's true in LOK? Does it look like blood is on his face? (I haven't played in a while.)

If I remember correctly, blood tears were a feature of Anne Rice's vampire novels. I've read a fair amount of vampire fiction, but that's the only example that springs to mind. :)

On topic, Kain seemed remorseful to me - miserable even, that Umah had forced him into killing her - but I don't think he shed any tears over her. I think he's too detatched from his emotions to do that. She was a traitor. In the end, he had no choice.

about vampires, the body is made out of 70% water.... wouldn't that be a problem?

Also 90% of Blood is Plasma which is water

Blood does have water in it, true.

The person who decided to "invent/discover" vampires/vampire myths, obviously didn't do their hmwk when it comes to water being a weakness. ;)

Maybe something else in blood is able to counteract the effects of the water. Or maybe it's a case of the power of suggestion-- the vampires believe they will burn in water, so they accidentally make it happen:p

Well Kain did have no chice. she was all for saying for Kain to trust her. which he did. and she could not trust him. she had listened to Vorador too much. He wouldn't have hunted them down unless they got in his way somehow. as he said
Kain: " you should have trusted me"

I don't even mind that she panicked and took the Nexus stone. I really thought Kain was about to forgive her, but then she started begging for his blood. I lost all respect for her and knew without a doubt that Kain was going to kill her. He really had no choice. Someone like that would only have betrayed him again. I really wish it had turned out differently, but Umah messed up big time.

I agree with Wraithstar, but I don't know about you guys but I don't think I respected her much anyway, seeing as she - and the majority of the female vampires in BO2 - wore such revealing clothes. She was quite a nice character, though, I guess. =\

As for the water thing, if they can't go in water, how do they keep clean? o.o And the blood and such, maybe the water doesn't affect them if it is diluted in something? I wouldn't have any idea of how this would work, but yeah.

Raziel: The great Kain, Scion of Balance dies in the battle between Hylden and Ancient because he didnt take a bath. Perhaps I should provide the soap ? :p

*Raziel throws a lemon zest soap at Kain, and by the look on Kain he seems to see the light at the end of the tunnel as everything appears in slow motion (almost bullet time :p)*

Kain: Aggggghhhhhhh !!! Cleanliness, hygiene.... nooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Kain slowly melts away, and as the years go by, we notice a newly forming mural as the melted Scion of Balance, hehe :D*
