Well, pretty much everything you said in your first post is what puts me off in a game. I'm very picky about things like that. Who knows, maybe I'll rent that game someday just to see for myself. :)

LOL, why are you so sorry? I'm actually grateful. I wanted to buy the game but I wasn't sure. And a friend's opinion counts, especially if they're LoK fans. It means they appreciate a lot of the things I appreciate about games. :p And if you've got nothing good to say about it, I probably won't either. That's what I was trying to say! :) :p

Gasp! Surely not worse than the voice acting in the original Resident Evil? ;)
I don't think bad voice acting alone would put me off buying a game. The gameplay would really have to make up for it though, like RE's does.

That game's beggining was really cheesy too. Big gay guy saying in the deepest voice he can get, "Chris Redfield" and co.

On a related note, don't play Alias. It's kind of a cross between Deus Ex and Tomb Raider only lacking the good qualities of both, and the voice acting is lame, which is pretty sad considering it's based off a popular TV show. All the character models have guppy mouth, and their stiff lips don't even begin to match the words, especially the dorky tech guy who cracks all the bad jokes. In short, this game is a *ahem* loohoo-zeher.
