I cometh from a land that lies beyond the boundaries of The CITY…
To tell ye a story of our past.

It hath happened long ago,
The Age of Darkness advanced upon all men, enslaving our hearts in fear and denial of the truth.
Books of this event were burned, men were killed and thus history was erased, trampled into the ground, slaughtered and forgotten.
Both Hammerite and Mechanist leaders hath rewritten their own books in fear of this past.
Alas, none could hide from the echoes of time.
They hath returned to haunt us many times:
When the Hammers discovered the eye.
When Lord Constantine appeared in the City seeking its power.
When Karrass brought beasts of Iron into the city and fell to weapons of his own creations due to Garrett’s interference.

I came here to ask thee, noblemen and fair ladies:
Doth yee wish to know of this past?
Doth yee wish to see the truth, even if it means to look into the living abyss of despair and darkness?

I am here to show thee the past, though the forgotten chronicles of the Looking Glass.
To create a fan mission campaign, dedicated to the fall of the Hammerite Order.
To forge the world anew, before Thief 1, before the Age of Darkness.
To show thee a deep and complex world, ruled by the almighty Hammerite Empire, extending though 3 continents and two Oceans.
An Imperial age, that stood for one thousand years, until the Master Builder's Final Judgment...
The end of an epoch and a beginning of Thief 1...

Sounds good! Some do not like Garrett's future in Thief 3 so it makes darn good sense to delve into the past. They did it in TR with an adolecent LC (still sporting those boobs too) so I guess we should get to know Garrett as a teenager.

Well Done!

Alas, the main character is not "Garrett as a teenager".
This happens 50 years before Garrett's arrival to the City.

The main character of the Hammerite Imperium is an Imperial Legionnaire, a man who believes in the glory of his nation and the power of the Master Builder.
A man who tries to serve his people, but finds lies, treachery and faithlessness wherever he goes.
Fate places him into a game of chess between godly and Imperial powers, throws him into the depths of a war that consumes the ancient world, into the living abyss of chaos, despair, darkness and fire.

Greetings Alexius...this is "The Fire Eater" as you know of me at TTLG forums (mainly fan mission site) and have been following your progress on the Emperium over there and have been aware of this campaign for a long time ;) Unfortuately, I am unable to assist in your search for more helpers :( I am but a lowly player only :D I do hope we will get to see at least one mission soon however? It would be such a nice treat! As of now and as ever I wish you best of luck and continued progress on this wonderful FM that we are all waiting for! :) Ta and Good Hunting!

I'm excited about the blog. It really lets the players inside the development process (and questions answered about the product's progression). Thanks for thinking of us.

From the picture in the first post, the guy got carried away on applying his at-home botox kit.

That's the idea! Remeber that you can comment upon a post, ask questions and demand that we turn the spotlight on a specific part of development. I will try to answer any questions asked in the comments. However, we can't divulge some content, as we really don't want to spoil things for you! :)
