Being sick

First this is not a post asking for sympathy from anyone on my part I am actually genuinly curious.

I'm really under the weather at the moment with nasty headaches, really swollen glands which make it hard to swallow, nasty gunk in my sinus and a temperature (oh and I look like c**p too. Lastnight i feel asleep on my sofa at about 9pm. Which is pathetic by my books. I moved to my bed at around half 1 and proceeded to have a really horrible nights sleep in a fever and hallucinating. I have only had halucinations once before where I got some horrible Flu type thing in Spain. I throught I was Abe ( you know from the oddworld series) leading my enslaved people to freedom.

Now we get to the real reason behind this post. I was wondering if anyone else has had hallucinations or other wierd stuff happen to them due to illness.

have i got stories to tell.....Abe? hmmm...nice, i loved the first two games..
sorry it's not due to illness but it's a strange thing..
anyway. yes, there was a series of odd happenings one time. so it starts like this:
i was playing risk with the guys (we like to think we're conquering the world) when a friend took all five dice and threw them down. we couldn't believe our eyes, they were all sixes. i immediately thought about Mat Cauthon and said 'the Dark One's own Luck'. anyway we continued our game (i won :D ) and went on about our business (mainly killing time talking about various things)
so i was on my way home with two friends, when one of these guys said 'hey! look, full moon tonight!' we looked and saw that it wasn't full moon, and then he tripped and fell (no he wasn't drunk).
so we get to the elevator after half an hour or so, and the doors open. my friend gets startled and jumps back, as i walk in saying he thought he saw the devil coming out of the floor. i say things are getting too coincidential and he walks in. i get home, go to sleep, wake up the next day and meet with my friends in the evening.
we played cards for a couple of hours, till the same guy who threw five sixes at the same throw, got two blackjacks in a row on blackjack. i get angry cause he won again and throw the cards to the table and he deals them again.
two days pass, no strange things on, and i decide to play Soul Reaver 2 again. i start the game, play several hours, save and then went to sleep.
about a month passed and we gathered up one night to talk about nothing. so we talk for an hour and someone says he dreamt he played Soul Reaver2 and he was in the mood to play it again. he goes home and sees that his SR2 cd is broken and calls to ask me if i can lend it to him. i go 'okay, i'm at the very end now, come and pick it up.' he gets it, plays it and the very next day after he gives it back asking me to acompany him to the cdstore so he can buy his copy. we go, he gets it and we come back. but as we walk, he trips and drops the game, exactly under the foot of the sixer guy who just joined us, exactly after he said 'hey look, full moon tonight!' . so no more cd, and i get this huge deja vu, and get dizzy.
we get home, and the sixer guy shows us his new raziel poster to annoy us (he's not even a fan!). he puts on the table and says 'i'll go call the others'
now, i am VERY careful about glass of water left near something important, because it so happens that every time i hit it and water spills all over. so i left the glass of water beside the poster intentionately and ask the one who was talking on the phone if the others were coming. he approached the table, and sat down. he said 'the idiots want to see a movie' and he throws the phone on the table and hits the glass of water, getting the poster wet. he rips it apart and throws it away.
a couple of days pass, and this guy gets his leg broken in a bike accident.
now after a week, we talked about it and came to the conclusion that this guy had the worst luck lately and we realized that it was after he threw those five sixes.
we concluded the 'story' with a game of risk, with no strange thing, and after that we called it 'The Five Sixes'
we laugh as we remember it, but i get darn scarred when i think about it..

when one time i was ill. i kept thinking this dragon was going across My room. poping in and out of me posters. Mum said i started to laugh and was watching something she couldn't see.
Kinda scary really. Ever since i have been mad on dragons. think it was the measuls that i had.

Well, it wasn't due to any illness but when the wife was pregnant and having premature labor her doctor put her on some type of saline/magnesium IV. Once it got into her system, she swore she saw lizards going up the wall of the hospital room and dissapearing into the ceiling.

Get well soon, DW! I know what it's like to be that sick (you almost wish you'd just die).
