Just thought I'd post to say that I'm playing Invisible War fine on my laptop.
I was a bit worried it may not work but it works a treat.
My spec:
2.8ghz P4 - no HT!
512 RAM
Mobility M10 ATI Radeon 9600 128meg graphics (Dirext X 9 compliant!)
60gig hd (7200rpm)
P.S. laptop gets bloody hot tho
P.P.S. I love the 'mag rail' gun. The way it kills the bots through the walls is just tooooo coooool.

damn, they make those things for laptops?! must cost a lot
shame i'm stuck with my laggy Acer now. think they can replace the chips?
Yup after owning a laptop, having played via a laplink capable with your average regular sized computer, the only real downside to a laptop is the videocard but I found if I buy a docking station and thus am able to switch out videocards periodically, and maybe stick some more ram on, that is basically a regular computer, plus the fact its portable which is awesome. Sure I can also buy a flatscreen or huge monitor but I dont care about those, and my laptop is great as it is.
I played everquest on my laptop, found it was the connection speed more than anything that mattered, thus my 4 MB video card plus high-speed cable modem meant I never relaly felt lag on everquest. I now play on a 64 MB desk top but in the future will be getting me a laptop set up again by then who knows what will be available.
