Just wanna ask if it will run on it.
Cuz some new games don't (Deus Ex2, Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell 2 in particular).
Yet most (Max Payne 2, Farcry, UT 2004) recent games do.
Hitman 2 and Freedom Fighters (Both 9-10/10 games btw) ran perfectly.
So what do you say?

without looking at the specs it will probably run the game but if you are looking to get a video card that will last for a few years I would stay away from it.

Since you can play Hitman 2 and Freedom Fighters without any problems, there will probably be no problems with Hitman 3 either since it uses the same engine (but improved).

Cool.

Did they add better physics to the new engine?

nVidia has a new universal driver for all their video cards... when I DL'ed it I couldn't believe the speed I got from my older GeForce 4 card... though that didn't prevent me from picking up a new 128MB card, which is awesome... and the default setting options include increasing the draw distance.

The available graphic options are vid card dependent. Hitman "looks" at your card to determine what options are available.

And ofcourse if you buy a new card wich supports directx 9 it will be enable all those new features;)

The new nVidia driver supports the older cards too and will support Direct X 8... I have tested it. It works on the older GeForce 400 series cards.

Which makes the Geforce4mx card a DirectX7 card, since it have full support for the Direct3D7 functions. This problem lies in the graphic card hardware and not in the drivers and can, thus, not be fixed with driverupdates.

But the question remains if Hitman Contracs will require/use any of those functions. I'm pretty sure it won't require a full DirectX8 compatible card. I also belive that the game won't have any optional support for those functions either. But that's just speculation. We all gonna know for sure when the demo/full game arrives ;)
