Hi to everybody!
I list my PC specs:
Windows XP Pro
3 Ghz AMD AthlonXP
1 Ghz Corsair TwinX ddr 400 Mhz RAM
Sapphire Radeon 9800XT
Pioneer DVD
Latest drivers and DX 9.0b installed
using european DVD version 1.2 (original!) on defragmented HD
no virtual drive nor debugging software installed
Just to refresh the problem:
when levels are loaded everything runs very smooth with high details on 1024 x 768 BUT startup and level loadings are unacceptably slow! Each time I must wait about 1 to 2 minutes before the "loading" screen appears and everything starts.
I even tried the v 1.2 no-cd patch but nothing changed.
To the admin: do you know if Ubisoft support has verified the existance of the problem and is studying a solution to this?
To everybody: got a partial o total solution different from these listed on this (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34743) thread?
