3 days after I was 18. Most people wait like a month or so.
Been driving a lot since:D

thanks guys.
well dave perhaps it is time. still you have to have the money to do it. it is no point in beginning and then quiting in the middle because you do not have the money for it.
I spendt 14.000 NOK on the driver license. that's about 2.000 American dollars. we deal with big prices here in Norway, that's how it is.

WOW.thats insane!!! 2000$ scary!
well for m it would cost maybe like 200-300. i have to take some driving lessons, cuz i never drove! one lesson is like 30$-20$. so i guess 10 wil be enough, and then you can take driving exam for free. if you dont pass it then you have to pay again :)
and i already have theory, so i dont need to study anything. just driiiiiveee
:D

here a driving lesson is 50 $, but you have to have so much more than ordinary lessons, you have to have other types of driving which costs up to 400$ per lesson, but those lasts for like half the day. still to pay 2000 for the driver license in norway is relativly cheap. in big cities people pay like 3000 dollars for it. (most people in norway have money to pay this because people earn much, and everything is expensive in norway)
so you started a jaguar dave? did u drive it?

There is no other language than Enlgish allowed on these boards.
Not that it's hard to understand it though.:) (He is indeed from Norway.http://forums.eidosgames.com/images/icons/icon14.gif)

stemmer det ja. jeg er norsk. du også?
(how the hell did you understand that sick?) speaking of understanding norwegian, our german class just had visitors from germany and one german girl I asked many things in norwegian and she understood it. and not too easy sentences either. it was really cool, I said for eksampel: Skal vi gå nå? u understand that sick`?
Not that I'm sick but I'll reply anyway, it's seems to have some similarities (is that a word?) with German, which in turn has some similiarities with Dutch.
er du norsk???
Are you Norse?

I suppose this is something like, yes..., I'm Norse, you too?
Skal vi gå nå? u understand that sick`?
A guess: Shall we go to somewhere ?
Correct?
I experienced that you can learn many languages as a Dutch speaking person. I find it pretty easy to pronounce sentences in other languages. This isn't the case for other languages to Dutch (I've been laughing a lot when I heared people trying to speak Dutch. Mostly when they tried to say a word with a "R" in it.:D)

Statistics show that the most easily-language learning people are Portuguese and Greeks. Then follow all the rest with similar linguistical backgrounds (Northern countries, Indogermanic and Anglosaxon).

@m:
not Norse, but Norwegian.
you are right about the "du også"
the last one means "shall we go now"
Sick I doubt you will manage to pronounce norwegian perfect, since it is one of the most difficult languages in the world when it comes to pronounciation. though the grammar is very simple.
