system hangs after intro

hi
if any1 can pls help . i have installed the game correctly but as soon as i start the system hangs after the intro. b it any mission. i had the game installed b4 and it was runnin fine but this is a new cd pack i have purchased n installed from as the old 1 got damaged. now itr refuses to start. i also have direct x 8 but still nothin. what am i missin here pls advise.

somehow i have managed to start the game but its in a very strange manner as soon as the intro starts i press escape n the game starts . i have to follow the same procedure during the mission when some briefing or allies are contacted but in the first mission itself when i go to rescue the injured guy with the dog the same happens and even pressin escape doesn't help. any permanent solutions here.

i think you should ask for another replacement cuz this is very strange...
