Your 3 favorite Commandos

My 3 favorite commandos are Driver, Fins and Theif
1. Driver has some cool traps (wire and bear trap) that are very usefull. Sleeping gas grenade is By far the best grenade, because it has allmost as large blast radius as normal grenade and it is completely quiet.
2. Fins Can throw knife and that is very cool thing, but that is pretto much all he can do(on the surface), but I still like him.
3. Theif can get pretti much anywere, is very fast, and can stalk(I used stalking only once, but does anyone use it more often?), and spike is very good thing for distraction. The only porblem is that he can't "disable" any enemies without using weapons just like in Commandos 3

I don't know why so many peole like Tini. Aside from the decoy, being able to use knife and climbing on the poles(which you don;t get to do very often), he can do nothing else.
Duke is good, but can only climb and snipe. that is it
Inferno can control turrets and throw grenades, but in most missions, he is only used to put disable/mines..
Spooki is good too, but I don't really like him.

Lupin is my favourite. I like the others the same.
I finsihed every mission with Lupin in c2 where he is in.

But lupin can't "disable" people in other way than shooting. How do you counter that?

Thats why Lupin is so good, it adds a great challenge if you can only temporarily disable the enemy, plus he is so fast... yeah i like Lupin too

i shot them all terminator. i killed every enemy (even the 5 man counting patrols!)
in missions where he was captured i freed him without killing or knocking out anyone. very hard to pass some parts by doing that.

O.K, But I don't think that you can rescue him in white death or in The Castle by not knocking out anyone or killing anyone. It is impossible.

Sorry a lil mistake, by knocking out enemies down I mean that I tie them up also. I did knocked enemies down but I never tied them up. White Death was the hardest mission I think, Because in the room that leads to the prison room I had to climb down a stair where 2 enemies where patrolling beneath. Also getting the key from the officer was pretty hard.

Free Lupin in Colditz wasn't as hard as I thaught. Duke did got some shot wounds though.:rolleyes:

And believe it or not, but I did the invasion in Saving Private Smith with Lupin as well.:D

Hmm, what do you mean:confused: ? You killed everione with the lupin only? What about the tanks? Lupin can't destroy tanks.

i know, but he can shoot bombs dropped on the ground.
so what i did was placing a bomb on a place where a tank would pass. ofcourse i placed the bombs within shotrange from my hidingplace. :)

In c2 my favorit commandos are Green Beret, he is the best end of discussion, Sapper and Sniper and Driver.

Green Beret- because he can take more punishment than anyone else and can run fast 2nd only to Thief
Spooky- invaluable spy guy
Fins- when you need to throw a knife.

Sick- I've used Lupin in Smith mission alone to kill everyone too before the invasion. Once he gets the .45 in the plane and an Allied Enfield .303 rifle he's dangerous!

If you experiement in Smith for example you'll find Duke can fire the regular no-scoped rifle farther than the other commandos. Like in the upper level where the Allied soldiers are he can pick off several enemies the others can't. Same with out the windows in lower level.

In Colditz after the Lupin rescue it is fun to collect all the sniper ammo and let Duke go on a killing spree too.

Actually I like them all but I often play this game on network with a friend of mine. We play Burma, Colditz, Das Boot and Is Paris Burning. He's always the green beret and the thief and I'm always the sniper and the spy.
